Drawing training
Pas motivated me to get back into drawing and gave me a few tips and youtube channels, so here I am, trying to start drawing again, and keeping this as a note on my blog.
So uh, I've always loved to get myself into drawing, but drowned by the techniques, styles, tools, and with a sort of lack of ideas, I kinda burned out before having the time to at least get the hang of some tips. But I chatted a bit with the awesome Pas on their stream today, and they gave me some tips, resources, and encouragement, so I dug out my old drawing tablet from my stuff storage, and decided to try to re-learn the basics.
Here's the exercises I'm gonna practice for a while to try to train that dexterity.
- drawing "perfect" circles
- drawing long lines converging to a single point
- drawing arcs
- putting two dots and drawing decently straight (unlike me) lines to connect them
- putting four dots and drawing ellipsis to connect all of them, as round as possible
I got the hang of some of them, but most (especially circles, and hand-eye coordination, I suck at them) will need lots of trial and error to be achieved.
Edit: finally managed to make a not-so-small decent circle.
